Elkland Handwerke is a business of the handmade. We create usable sculptural furniture including carved stone sinks, tables, chairs, benches, and housewares; architectural elements; sculptures; paintings; rug designs; photographs; costumes; toys; puppets; parades and performances. Our unique designs are based on nature and naturalness, efficiency, practicality, comfort, support and joy. We primarily use local found or recycled materials: massive slabs of indigenous wood, native stone and various discarded materials. Whether crafting heirlooms or memories, we strive for sustainability, simplicity, truth to materials, innovation, respect for tradition and fun.
